Left was drawn.... EXACTLY FOUR YEARS AGO!?
...that's eerie. o_o Anyway, I was 14 at the time, and I still think of it as the drawing that made me feel serious about being an... artist, though I still hesitate to use the word. xD

Perhaps it was because it seems to be my most dynamic, thoughtful picture at the time, or maybe the first girl I drew that didn't have unintentionally massive boobs. Maybe it was the overgenerous comments I received on dA (if you read a few of them, it perfectly captures how good I thought this picture was...)

I tried to integrate a lot of what I've learned in the last four years while keeping as true as possible to the original. ...I've still got a ton of improving to do, especially in the field of digital painting. I can't wait to do this contest again in four years~
